Artist Statement:

Ripple is an art work I recently completed in my studio. Feminine domestic labor influences my process of dying, braiding, weaving, stitching and staining raw canvas. Ripple is influenced by my love of being in nature and gazing up at the night sky. Being in the presence of nature helps me to slow down and self reflect and be deeply present within myself and the greater collective. I believe New York City parks offers solace to our busy city dwellers.
