Squirrels I Have Known, 2007

My father grew up near Prospect Park and played there as a child in the 1920’s. My parents ice-skated on the lake when they were children. They took their wedding photos there in 1945 and we lived nearby on Lincoln Road. From the time I was born, my second home was Prospect Park. Many days my mother walked there with me in a carriage as a baby, and my parents took me to the playground and the zoo when I got a bit older. As a family we went skating there every winter and to the carousel every summer. Now I work at the Brooklyn Museum and so I am still very close to the park and enjoy it whenever I can!
